FLiP2Go
What is FLiP2Go?
FLiP2Go is the centerpiece of FLiP in the Rhineland, an educational initiative financed by the Rhineland savings banks. FLiP2Go brings financial education directly to young people.
The 100-minute tours we offer are aimed at:
- 10- to 14-year-olds
- 15-year-olds and above
- Participation as a complete school class on the bus possible
The content is available in German.
One school class can take part at a time.
FLiP2Go learning stations
Knowledge is imparted in the FLiP2Go in seven station areas, in the center of which a touchscreen is positioned more or less as a table. After an activity has finished, each group moves on to the next station. Each activity lasts 12 minutes.
ValueCase
In this station, visitors go on a journey that will make them realise that the value of an object can change, depending on the situation. In the end, they learn that an object’s price does not necessarily determine its value.
WorldTour
Using examples such as jeans, tablets and coffee, this station highlights global interrelationships, dependencies and influencing factors. Visitors discover the impact of their own consumer choices in a globalised world and gain insight into the complexity of global supply chains.
ExpenseCheck
What do people in Germany spend the most money on each month? How do I plan a budget? Here, visitors recognize how sensible and important it is to plan expenses and what the average costs are for housing, food, mobility, etc.
Job-O-Mat
By answering several questions at the beginning of the game, the visitors enter their desired professions. They are then presented with five professions that best match these ideas. By changing parameters such as training, salary and working conditions, new career suggestions are generated. It is shown which qualifications are required for which jobs and how training and later earnings are related.
MarketTrade
The visitors start by buying fruit and vegetables at a wholesale market. They then have to set their own selling prices and offer their goods to customers at the market. The game illustrates how supply and demand shape prices.
FinanceBattle
In teams, the visitors take part in a race by answering questions relating to banking, financial markets and housing. Teams accelerate when they give correct answers and are slowed down by wrong ones. The team to reach the finishing line first wins.
MoneyMaze
Together, the visitors navigate through a maze. With a monster on their heels, visitors have to collect various objects. Every object contains a short video sequence. Depending on the target group, visitors learn either about the history of money or about money creation by commercial banks.
How does FLiP2Go come to me?
FLiP2Go is aimed at school classes in the Rhineland. The bus can be parked in front of schools and in public places. The regional savings banks are responsible for coordinating the dates.
